Anya Taylor-Joy film arrives in Latin America
Is about the northman, a production directed by Robert Eggers, a director who, despite being recognized in the horror genre, does not have the necessary sales potential for distributors to take risks with their films. The Witch and The Lighthouse are great movies that gained popularity through word of mouth and not thanks to the big screen.
This week, Universal confirmed that it will be in charge of the distribution of the film. It will arrive in Latin America under the name of El hombre del norte and will feature a luxury cast made up of Alexander Skarsgard, Nicole Kidman, Willem Dafoe and Ethan Hawke, who will join the already mentioned Taylor-Joy.
What is The Northman about?
The story centers on Amleth, a Viking prince who grows up in anger after his father’s murder and vows to seek justice by avenging him. Eggers wrote the film with Sjón, an author from Iceland who was also behind the acclaimed film Lamb, premiered in 2021.
