Anthony Zambrano will decide in a few hours if he competes in Bolivarianos

The participation of the Colombian athlete Anthony Zambrano in the Bolivarian Games of Valledupar is in doubt, after the Olympic runner-up in the 400-meter dash revealed some disagreement to the Cali media.

“It makes certain people sad here… It’s the economic thing. There is never support, there is never anything… Nobody manipulates me, I rule because I am the one who runs, one is the one who is on the track, to earn a misery,” Zambrano said.

However, Félix Marrugo, president of the Colombian Athletics Federation, said that the issue involves a pubalgia that afflicts Zambrano and that the next few hours will be key to defining whether he will compete in the games.

According to Marrugo, Zambrano will undergo medical tests by his coach, Cuban Nelson Gutiérrez, to define the extent of his injury and then make a final decision.
