The incessant dripping of boats does not stop. Another ten boats were intercepted this Sunday in Cartagena and Águilas with 103 immigrants on board, according to sources from the Government Delegation. In the barges, located in front of the Monte de las Cenizas, in Cartagena, and in the aquiline beach of Cope, 87 men, five women and 11 minors traveled. All of them are Algerian and in good health.
As usual, the new group was transferred to the Escombreras dock, where it received assistance from the Red Cross and was guarded by the National Police to submit to the Covid protocol.
With this new shipment, there are 197 immigrants intercepted this weekend when they tried to reach the coast of the Region. On Saturday, 94 Algerians were rescued aboard nine boats. The arrival of boats is a constant at this time, taking advantage of the good state of the sea.
