Pakistan fast bowler Sohail Tanvir and Canadian batsman Ravinderpal Singh have been found Kovid-19 positive ahead of the first Lanka Premier League (LPL) starting on 26 November, giving the organizers another setback. According to ESPNcricinfo’s Friday report Tanveer, part of the Candy Tuskers team and the Ravinderpal of the Colombo Kings, were found to be infected with the corona virus when they arrived in Sri Lanka for the T20 tournament.

Tanveer was given an option as Pakistan’s Wahab Riaz and England’s Liam Plunkett withdrew. Tanveer and Ravinderpal have been out for at least two weeks. Tuskers coach Hassan Tillakaratne said he would need another player to replace Tanveer.
The former Sri Lankan batsman told the website that we have to talk to the franchise owners and find someone to replace Tanveer. LPL organizers were earlier shocked by the withdrawal of top players like Lasith Malinga and Chris Gayle.
