The bad time for the Ecuadorian National Team seems not to end, after some administrative problems with doping tests were reportedthe team’s permanence in the world cup was at risk. Now, the dilemma facing the team is due to a trial and a nationality.
The player Byron Castillo, who plays as a defense in the Ecuadorian team, has been giving something to talk about, after a media outlet assured that a judge determined that the soccer player was born in Tumaco, Nariño and, therefore, would be Colombian.
According to the regulations, the player must be nationalized to the team with which he is going to play, but the non-compliance claim must be registered 48 hours after the game. What could give a part of tranquility to Ecuador.
“A trial has just ended in Ecuador, where evidence has been shown that the player Byron Castillo, who was summoned on several Qualifying dates by Gustavo Alfaro, is Colombian. He himself was born in Tumaco, Nariño. He currently plays for Barcelona ”, Sebastián Bejarano wrote on his Twitter account.
The journalist accompanied the publication with a photograph of what appears to be the birth certificate of Byron Castillo.
