The Kurchatovsky District Court of Chelyabinsk sentenced the alleged leader of the Khaliulinskie organized crime group, Ivan Yugay, to imprisonment for a term of 6.3 years. The correspondent reports this “Ura.ru” from the courtroom.
According to the publication, along with the alleged leader, his accomplices were also in the dock: Klevakin, Babaev, Zhizhkun, Samatov and Sokov. All of them were found guilty. Thus, Klevakin, like Yugai, received a sentence of imprisonment for a term of 6.3 years, Samatov was sentenced to four years. All of them will serve their sentences in a maximum security colony. In addition, Babaev also received 6.3 years, but he will be sent to a general regime colony; defendant Zhizkun – 3.7 years in a general regime colony, and Sokov – three years probation. The last defendant, Nodirbek Amanbaev, received four years in a general regime colony, however, he was released from custody in the courtroom, since the court took into account the time he spent in a pre-trial detention center.
According to investigators, members of an organized crime group who were repeatedly convicted from 2013 to 2020 committed more than ten crimes related to the theft of property of entrepreneurs. They are charged with extortion, robbery and robbery. In May 2020, law enforcement officers stopped the gang’s activities, despite the secrecy measures taken by its members. The accused are from 23 to 40 years old, all active participants in an organized crime group who adhere to the concepts of thieves.
