Another Crab's Treasure will be available on April 25th. We can confirm that we are reviewing it, but obviously for the moment we have no way to tell you anything. However, we can bring you the words of the developers who chatted with Game Rant, explaining to the magazine that their soulslike is closer to Sekiro than Dark Souls.
As you know, Sekiro Shadow's Die Twice is designed to give more defense priority, which must then be transformed into an attack. You must continually parry your opponents and block their blows if you don't want to succumb. In Another Crab's Treasure we are a hermit crab and therefore we have a shell to use to block opponent's shots: this system conditions the gameplay.
The team explains that “What does a hermit crab want to do? It wants to hide inside its shell. A lot of the gameplay is focused around this ability to block, parry, counterattack and things like that, with the shell.”
A second element of Sekiro is the lack of a stamina bar, which pushes the player to never take a break and continue dodging, attacking and parrying. Another Crab's Treasure also doesn't have stamina: players will therefore be forced to fight non-stop.
Another Crab's Treasure's special attacks
Finally, Another Crab's Treasure includes a variety of attacks that enemies can perform that will be presented with gods colorful symbols, similar to what happens in Sekiro. We are talking about attacks that cannot be parried and which must be avoided (although in Sekiro these also have specific counterattacks that can be used).
Tell us, attendant Another Crab's Treasure? We remind you that it will be available on PC (Steam), Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series
