UCAM Murcia incorporates a new member to its squad: Rati Andronikashvili, a Georgian player, 21 years old and 193 centimeters. The youngster occupies the point guard and shooting guard positions and will have a place as a training player. His great value is his physique, which he takes advantage of both in defense and attack.
Andronikashvili is international for Georgia, the team with which he has played in the last Eurobasket and comes from Creighton University, with which he has played in the NCAA.
Andronikashvili was trained in the Baskonia youth academy and also played a season in the EBA League with the San Pablo Burgos subsidiary. Before making the jump to the NCAA, he also played one season as a professional at BC Rustavi of Georgia. With his national team he has taken a step forward in the last season. He especially highlights his performance against Spain in the FIBA July windows, where he scored 17 points and was decisive in the last minutes to give his team the victory.
He signs a temporary contract with different extension clauses and will be under the command of Sito Alonso starting this Monday.
