‘For me it is very difficult to know that in my country they condemn me without knowing what has happened, that destroys me.’ said Escobar, who is alone in Iceland and was charged and convicted in the first instance of alleged sexual abuse against a woman who is of legal age.
In the midst of tears, he narrated what he is going through, a very complicated moment.
‘An injustice is being done to me. I am innocent of everything that is accused of me. I want to ask for help, I don’t know if it’s from the government or some expert, because they haven’t treated me fairly. They illegally took my passport,” he said on Win Sports.
“I met her in the center of the city, she told me that I really liked the culture of Colombians, the boys of color; We decided to go to my apartment with the consent of both, a very dear girl, what had to happen between two adults happened, with the consent of both, “he said.
And I add: “The next day, she was normal. I have the conversations on my phone, I was waiting for her to arrive at her house. The next day I realized that she had left her jacket, she told me that her mother and father were going to pick her up; It seemed strange to me, and the ones who arrived were the police. She says that she doesn’t remember anything, and a friend told her that if she didn’t remember, that was rape. The police say that she was not fit to give consent and that was rape. In the exams there are no signs of a struggle or anything, she is also not a minor, ”reported ‘Manga’.
The Colombian commented that it is an injustice. “They questioned me, I mentioned to them about the conversations on my phone and everything. This was in September of last year. They told me that they were holding my passport for a month and they never returned it to me, only one day they informed me that they were taking me to court. The tests were not admitted, they were omitted. I presented them, because my lawyer told me that with that it was impossible for me to be convicted, but the judge omitted them to sentence me. They even left out a part of her father’s statement, which said they talked about her for a long time. That part was not in the court report,” she noted.
☀☕ ”My evidence was omitted for sentencing, the father’s statements were not in the court report and were also omitted. I am not afraid that they will declare me guilty, I am afraid that with so much evidence that I have, that will happen”: Andrés ‘manga’ Escobar.#FirstTouch pic.twitter.com/tnoaAsEMYp
