An investigation has been launched in Lithuania over calls to shoot for Russian songs
The Vilnius district prosecutor’s office began an investigation in connection with the statements of TV presenter Algis Ramanauskas that Russian films and songs should be shot. About this reports Delfi.
He is suspected of “public calls for violence and physical violence against a group of people of a certain nationality and speakers of a particular language.”
Appeals to Lithuanian law enforcement agencies came after Ramanauskas broadcast on YouTube, where he made statements about Russian-language films and songs.
“Imagine a household where the father plays a Russian film loudly, and the mother listens to Russian music loudly. The question here is what to do first – take away the children, and then shoot them (the parents – approx. “Tapes.ru”) or in front of the children… No, of course, first take the children away and then shoot them,” the TV presenter reasoned. He himself later apologized.
