The developer of software for processing documents and dictionaries ABBYY fired all Russians
International software developer ABBYY fired all Russians on its staff. About this reports Telegram channel Mash.
The creator of software for processing documents and dictionaries left Russia in 2022. Current employees were offered offers and relocation to Cyprus, Belgrade and Budapest. On the evening of September 30, during an online conference, they were gathered, their video and microphones were turned off and they announced their dismissal, after which corporate access was immediately turned off.
“First they announced to the Cypriot office, then the Serbian, then the Hungarian. “Everyone with a Russian passport was fired,” said one of the company employees.
Those laid off believe that the employer decided to save money and replace them with Indian programmers.
According to a study by the Russian School of Management (RSU), almost 20 percent of Russians are afraid that they will be fired before the end of the year or will be asked to write a letter of resignation of their own free will. At the same time, 82 percent of respondents are convinced that this will not happen to them. In addition, 31 percent of respondents are fundamentally afraid that their employer will resign them.
At the same time, many enterprises, due to a shortage of personnel, are trying to retain staff by increasing salaries – since the beginning of 2023, most industrial companies have already carried out two or three indexations. Each indexation is estimated at five to ten percent.
