The Security Awareness Department of the General Department of Community Happiness in Dubai Police fulfilled the wish of a four-year-old Arab child to go through the experience of a policeman. Coordination was made with the Tourism Police Department of the General Department of Criminal Investigation after receiving a request from his family, and accompanying him on an entertainment tour of one of the patrols in the streets of Dubai. The emirate, dressed as a policeman, presented him with gifts and souvenirs, as part of the “Make a Child’s Wish” initiative that meets the requests of families and community members.

The work team was keen to introduce him – in a friendly manner – to the role of the policeman in society and his role, and to take him to some places that reflect the role and history of Dubai Police.
The Head of the Cultural Diversity Department at the Security Awareness Department, Major Ali Yousef Yaqoub, stressed the Dubai Police’s keenness to implement activities and entertainment for children, including shows with the beloved policeman Mansour doll, and the policeman is safe, as well as toured luxury patrols, and shows of police dogs and cavalry.
It is noteworthy that the “Make a Child’s Wish” initiative was launched in January 2020, and the number of family requests that were satisfied was 34, while the number of beneficiaries of the initiative’s activities exceeded 481 children of different nationalities and ages during the past year.
