The spokesman for the Egyptian Ministry of Health stressed that the three infected people are currently receiving the treatment protocol supervised by the scientific committee at the Ministry of Health, pointing out that updating the protocol is subject to a continuous process and adding medicines approved by health authorities and proving their effectiveness in healing patients.
The Egyptian official pointed out that any case that is discovered to be infected with corona in Egypt’s entry points through ports and airports is immediately isolated, noting that “26 cases have been monitored since the intensification of epidemiological surveillance work in the wake of the announcement of the emergence of the mutated Omicron, especially those coming from the countries that appeared It is transmitted through the sorting and quarantine points at the Egyptian airport and ports.
And he indicated that all positive cases are subject to isolation in hospitals as soon as they are discovered to be infected with corona, until a genetic sequence analysis is performed and whether or not they are infected with the new mutant “Omicron”, and leave them upon recovery.
