The relationship between doctor and patient is an integral part of therapy, and the inspiring concept of Giancarlo Quarta Foundation, A non-profit organization that has been studying, designing and promoting effective ways of relating to doctor-patient relationships for over 15 years, and then evaluates their effects through the success of therapies and the well-being of patients. Now the Foundation based in Milan is launching the first edition of the New-Care 2022 Award, a competition of ideas open to doctors under 40, who can participate individually or in working groups, and are called to imagine new models and tools to improve the communicative and relational aspect in hospital and territorial settings. A competition notice, which is open until March 31, is aimed at young doctors to collect innovative, concrete and achievable ideas, aimed at improving the doctor-patient relationship and the care relationship, the first prize, for individual doctors or groups, is 15,000 euros, the second prize of 10,000 and the third of 5,000.
The target
With this call, the details of which are published on the website www.fondazionegiancarloquarta.it, Fondazione Quarta wants to involve young professionals in a constructive relationship with their patients. The competition will select the three best proposals that refer to two areas: concrete solutions to satisfy the relational needs of patients and their families and the promotion / dissemination of effective relational behaviors. The evaluation criteria will be: the innovativeness of the proposal, the feasibility, the applicability in various contexts of care, the reproducibility on larger or smaller dimensional scales, the individual and social impact.
