The Argentine agribusiness solutions company Agrality, from the Bioceres group, acquired the seed company Mendon Seed Growers, located in the American corn belt, a strategic area for the cultivation of corn worldwide. The acquisition includes a production facility in the US and is part of the investment plan of the company, which aspires to consolidate its leading role in the world of seed industry and biotechnological developments.
After the acquisition of the La Ballenera seed plant in Argentina, in September 2020, Agrality continues to expand its operations and adds a new plant, this time in the northern hemisphere. Through this acquisition, Agrality will offer a full service of large-scale maize seed production in St. Joseph County, Michigan, and will increase your ability to grow more than 1,000 hectares of seed corn in one of the best areas in the world for this crop.
Founded in 2016, Agrality provides services for agro-industrial companies in the world market, with operations in Argentina and the United States, where it has experimental stations in the states of North Dakota and Indiana. Since 2020, it has been part of the Bioceres Tech Services portfolio, an arm of the Bioceres Group dedicated to R&D services (research and development) and high quality seed production.
