The National Assembly of the Republic of Korea passed a bill to create a separate space agency, which will become an analogue of the US National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). About it reports Yonhap agency.
The agency that they wanted to create in South Korea was called the Korean Aerospace Administration. The new structure will be located in the city of Sacheon in the south of the country. The office will open in May or June.
It is noted that the Korea Aerospace Research Institute and the Korea Institute of Astronomy and Space Sciences will be included in the Korean Aerospace Administration. The new structure will manage the implementation of the country's space program.
