A famous car company announced the withdrawal of a promotional advertisement for a new technology in its latest cars, in which the Egyptian star Amr Diab appeared, after some considered it “inappropriate”.
The company said, in a statement posted on its social media accounts, that it “cares about the feelings of all the communities in which it operates.”
In a video ad for the car, the beloved artist, the new brand ambassador, is seen driving the car and then suddenly a girl passes in front of him, stands before hitting her, and takes a picture of her through the car mirror (a new technology provided by the company).
The ad was met with great criticism among the pioneers of the communication sites, as a large number of them considered it an infringement of privacy for allowing pictures to be taken without permission, in addition to considering it contrary to family values, according to Al Arabiya.
