Ammonia leak at factory leaves more than 150 people injured in Thailand

During the early hours of this Thursday, April 18, 2024, a ammonia leak in a ice factory in the Thai province of Chonburivery close to the city of Pattaya.

The escape of ammonia It managed to affect an area within a radius of approximately one kilometer, around the ice factory facilities.

Some witnesses explained to local media that they heard a loud burst and they witnessed a puff of smoke, then many began to demonstrate irritation serious ocular and nasal injuries, and even loss of consciousness.

Regardless of the fact that the workers and local population within a two-kilometer radius were successfully evacuated, the incident left about 160 people injuredwhile nine of them are in serious condition.
