It was an open secret.
It was known by all that from the Palace and with the attorney general as a “ram”, the Mexican president has turned the delivery of justice into “garbage” and “revenge”.
And, at the opposite extreme, there was also a popular voice that from the top of power a careful and profitable stratagem was designed to spy on both “Tyrians” and “Trojans”, to have “media missiles” at hand capable of shooting down “even the most painted”.
For this reason, the attorney general, Alejandro Gertz Manero, suddenly appeared as a vulgar manipulator of justice in favor of his miserable revenge, in wiretaps broadcast from the Palace.
And that is why it is necessary to ask: what crime will be more serious to catalyze the fall of the attorney general: deliberately twisting the law or, on the contrary, spying on the so-called dispenser of justice turned into a “carnal prosecutor”?
And it is that we witnessed one of the typical revenges orchestrated from the Palace, from where the wiretaps that exhibited Gertz Manero came from, just days after the scandal of the false check for 2 billion pesos that made the president, López Obrador, look like a liar and phony.
The message is clear: a “helping hand” spread a fragment of the espionage to Gertz Manero on social networks, so that he understands that it is time to leave because he has become a hindrance to the Palace’s interests.
But the most curious thing is that everything revealed in the illegal wiretapping was public: that the attorney general uses his position to take personal revenge against Alejandra Cuevas, Gertz Manero’s niece, and who at 68 is in prison for the alleged crime of his stepfather, Federico Gertz.
The truth, however, is that for decades espionage has been the privileged instrument of the social leader and opposition leader, López Obrador, not only to carry out his personal revenge, but also to stay one step ahead of his adversaries.
And the evidence of espionage, revenge and “junk justice” is there for all to see. Do you doubt it?
1.- It is clear that Alejandro Gertz Manero had become a headache for the political operators of the Palace, not only because of his proven corruption, but also because of his personal outbursts. The family scandal -the death of his brother and the imprisonment of his stepdaughter–, had already confronted the Supreme Court with Palacio, in addition to the straw that broke the camel’s back was the untidy delivery of a bad check, for two billion pesos, which the prosecutor gave to President Obrador himself, allegedly to pay the prizes for the raffle for the presidential plane.
In the end, everything germinated into a “deceitful circus” that portrayed the president as what he has always been: a liar and a fraud.
2.- In the first months of the López government, another “helping hand” spread among columnists a package of alleged information that led to the assumption that the Minister of the Court, Eduardo Medina Mora, had carried out million-dollar transactions in tax havens.
Nothing published was true, since it was an altered file with bulging figures and changed names.
However, the message after the media scandal was clear: the resignation of Minister Medina Mora, who ultimately left in the midst of a flagrant constitutional violation by President Obrador who, in this way, gained control of the Court.
3.- Also in the first year of the Obrador government, the persecution and illegal imprisonment of Rosario Robles, the former president of the PRD, former head of government of the DF and architect of AMLO’s victory in the then GDF, was ordered and orchestrated.
It is a typical political revenge; an “exemplary punishment” clearly illegal, launched from the Palace and that sent the message of terror that those who dare to challenge the tyrant will face.
4.- The same fate has befallen businessman Alonso Ancira and lawyer Juan Collado. In both cases they were victims of a spiteful and vengeful persecution from the Palace to deprive them of an appetizing slice of their fortunes; piece of the cake that has been distributed at the top of power.
And in both cases, the architect of the persecution was the former advisor to the Presidency, Julio Scherer Ibarra, who mounted a palace intrigue together with his bishops in the Court, to exact revenge because both the businessman and the imprisoned lawyer demonstrated against the then presidential candidate López Obrador.
Today, the extortion against Ancira and Collado is in the public domain and in this case there have also been wiretaps that confirm it.
5.- In his column Strictly Personal, of June 23, entitled: “They spy on journalists”, columnist Raymundo Riva Palacio documented the official espionage ordered by the Palace on some of the journalists critical of the government and of President López.
It is not a question of any novelty since since the times of opposition and head of government of the DF, the majority of critical columnists of the Tabasco knew they were being spied on. Some of them, like Jorge Fernández Menéndez, even complained personally to Obrador about such espionage; demand that he recounted in one of his columns.
6.- In the 2021 report on the International Narcotics Control Strategy –(INCSR) for its acronym in English–, which the United States Department of State delivered to Congress on March 2, warns about the dangerous weakening of justice in Mexico, which has allowed a dangerous expansion of criminal gangs.
It is a historical document since, as never before, the tone and language of the Washington government point to things by their name; that is to say, that organized crime has taken over some top-level positions in the Mexican government.
7.- And the examples “of the weakening of Mexican justice” appeared only in the massacres of Michoacán and the Querétaro soccer stadium; two massacres in which 17 people would have died in each one and where the Obrador government tried to minimize the events and, in the best dictatorial style, blamed the past for what happened.
How long will Congress and the Judiciary put a stop to the weakening of justice in Mexico? How long will the garbage justice of the López Obrador government?
At the time
