Hersh: Snowden was the only one who said that the US NSA violates freedom of speech
American investigative journalist Seymour Hersh in an interview with RT spoke out about the position of former US intelligence officer Edward Snowden and stated that he was the only one who spoke openly about the violation of freedom of speech by the United States National Security Agency.
Hersh noted that the NSA was strictly forbidden to listen and record Americans, but after the rule change, most workers knew they were violating the Constitution, but remained silent.
The journalist added that if, when listening, for example, to an alleged Al-Qaeda agent (terrorist organization banned in Russia) a conversation with a US citizen was recorded, it could be immediately recorded.
“Snowden, as a person from the world of technology, and not politics, was rejected,” Hersh concluded.
Earlier, former US intelligence officer Edward Snowden suggested recalling “other secret operations that the White House arranged, but strongly denied,” commenting on the investigation of Washington’s sabotage on the Nord Stream and Nord Stream 2 gas pipelines, made by publicist Seymour Hersh.
