América de Cali achieved an epic win in Palmaseca in a controversial classic against Deportivo Cali, in which they played with nine players for the entire second half.
The winning goal for the Americans came after nine minutes, with a shot from the experienced Adrián Ramos, on a field that was badly affected by the rain.
The game was marked by several arbitral controversies. First, a supposed penalty by the hand of John García in favor of Cali that the referee Wílmar Roldán did not consider a foul. Roldán was appointed instead of Carlos Betancur, who was threatened.
Then came the two red ones, for Yaliston Martínez, at 41 minutes, for a strong tackle on Aldaír Gutiérrez, and Larry Angulo, at 45, for a double warning.
