The CPUs AMD Granite Ridge based on Zen 5 architecture have made their appearance on the shipping orders discovered by Momomo_US, showing off two different models.
Shortly after the Strix Point and Fire Range series for mobile emerged from the same source, it is now the turn of the red house's desktop chips with two versions of 6 and 8 cores. Here are all the details.
AMD Granite Ridge with 6 and 8 cores
The two CPU models AMD Granite Ridge they were listed with the codes 100-000001404-01 and 100-000001290-21: the first refers to a chip equipped of 8 cores and 16 threads with a TPD of 170Wprobably intended for the Ryzen 7 series, while the latter is equipped with 6 cores and 12 threads with 105W TDPin this case for the Ryzen 5.
In all likelihood, these samples are prototypes and power ratings may not be representative of the actual capabilities of the final products. However, if the 170W TDP were to be confirmed, this could lead to a significant increase in clock frequencies for the next Ryzen 7.
Although there is not much information on the Zen 5 architecture at the moment, AMD has promised better performance and optimized efficiency, as well as integrated solutions specifically dedicated to machine learning.
In addition to the AMD CPU, Momomo_US has revealed interesting news on the new Intel Battlemage Xe2 GPUs which should arrive during 2024.
