Amadeus leaves Rai, the host's first words | VIDEO
After having communicated to the general manager of Rai his intention not to renew the contract and therefore leave the state TV, the first words from Amadeus arrived.
In a video posted on his profile Instagram, and made in the Affari Tuoi dressing room, the host indulged in some thanks and more.
“Working at Rai for many years has been a source of pride, responsibility and immense pleasure for me. My heartfelt thanks go to public service. Thanks to all the managers I have met over the years, who have placed their trust in me, guaranteeing me autonomy and serenity” states the presenter in the video.
“It was not an easy choice for me also considering the important efforts made by Rai to retain me, and without me ever having made any request to favor my family members or to exclude my past collaborators, despite what was circulated in the press in recent days. It's not my style. A special thank you goes to the Rai workers who best represent the spirit of the company”.
Amadeus then continues: “Thanks also to my colleagues and the many artists who believed in me and got involved in my ideas. The programs that I have had the opportunity and joy of creating (including Sanremo) belong to the public, but for me they represent a piece of heart and life. I entered the homes of millions of people every day, I tried to repay the great affection and appreciation received with work, professionalism, respect and freedom. I gave it my all. Now it's time for new professional and personal challenges. It's time for new dreams.”
“Thanks everyone, see you on TV” concludes Amadeus in the video. Rai, for its part, made the end of the relationship between Amadeus and the company official in a press release communicated press.
“It is with regret that Rai takes note of Amadeus' decision to interrupt the collaborative relationship with the Public Service. But the strong sense of recognition and gratitude remains for the common path, dotted with great successes and moments which, like the Sanremo Festival, have entered the history of Rai and the country. In wishing Amadeus good work, the Company remains certain that it has made Amadeus – precisely because of the esteem and consideration due to its professionalism – all possible proposals in economic and editorial terms, in full guarantee of maximum artistic freedom” .
