The new Alpine F1 A522 single-seater has been developed according to the new technical regulations, which after more than 40 years has brought the so-called ground effectwith the aim of increasing the show on the track.
Under the commercial agreement with BWT in 2022 the A522 retains the splendid Alpine blue livery, now paired with the iconic BWT squad. BWT Alpine F1 Team also surprised everyone by unveiling one “inverted” livery”, Where the main color is pink.
This livery is used for the first two races of the calendar (Bahrain and Saudi Arabia) while in the rest of the season Alpine uses the more traditional blue one.

In addition to the completely revised chassis, the ground-effect Alpine F1 2022 features a new powertrain RE22. The specifications and dimensions of the engine block allowed for greater freedom to design bodywork to make the most of the new technical regulations.
