Tomorrow, in the match against Monza, Allegri will be able to see some starters at work: from Szczesny to Ronaldo, from De Ligt to Ramsey and Rabiot
It will be a first real taste of Juve at the U-Power Stadium in Monza, in the twenty-fifth edition of the Luigi Berlusconi Trophy. After the first outing at the Continassa against Cesena, useful for young people who have experienced the first part of the retreat, Allegri can begin to see some starting players at work at the end of the first week of work. From Ronaldo to De Ligt, passing through Ramsey and Rabiot, they are all ready to reconnect the plug by showing off right away.
It will be the first game of the season for Szczesny, ready to resume command of the goalkeeping hierarchies in full harmony with Perin and Pinsoglio. In defense, however, Max will be able to field De Ligt for the first time: in the last European match between the two, Matthijs was the captain of Ajax who eliminated the bianconeri from the Champions League. Rugani and Demiral (concentrated despite the market rumors concerning him) will rotate behind together with the young Dragusin, certainly De Sciglio on the outside. In midfield, however, first appearances in a cheerful Juve for Ramsey and Rabiot, for the latter there are great expectations. Forward, finally, Allegri will restart from the attacking duo often proposed in the second part of last season, formed by Ronaldo and Kulusevski.
WHO IS MISSING
Dybala is still training separately: he aims to return to Barcelona on 8 August. Morata and Bentancur have just joined up and must first complete the first phase of reactivation. Allegri will only have the three South Americans who reached the end of the America’s Cup (Danilo, Alex Sandro and Cuadrado) and the four European champions: Chiellini, Bonucci, Chiesa and Bernardeschi from next week.
UNDER THE LENS
On the other hand, the one who has to confirm himself after the first race with Cesena is McKennie, who impressed Allegri well and appears more and more enthusiastic about working with the Livorno coach. Not only that: even with Monza there will be room for some young people who try to earn confirmation in the first team, from Nicolò Fagioli to Filippo Ranocchia. And also keep an eye on Luca Pellegrini, who could return to the field after missing the first match last Saturday. Attention also to the babies Soulé and Miretti: for them the retirement with the first team is a first step towards professionalism.
