All those killed in the L-410 plane crash in Tatarstan have been identified. On Tuesday, October 12, reports “RIA News” with reference to emergency services.
“During the day, 16 dead were identified, 12 bodies were given to relatives and sent to burial sites,” – said the interlocutor of the agency.
It is noted that today the bodies of the remaining four victims will be handed over and delivered to the burial sites.
Light-engine aircraft L-410 crashed on October 10 6 km from the city of Menzelinsk immediately after takeoff. Onboard there were 22 people – paratroopers and two crew members, 16 people were killed.
A criminal case was initiated under Part 3 of Art. 263 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Violation of traffic safety rules and the operation of air transport, resulting in the death of two or more persons by negligence”).
As it became known on October 11, one of the survivors is in a stable serious condition. For the remaining five victims, the prognosis of doctors is favorable. The press service of the President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov said that the families of the victims will be paid 1 million rubles each. Victims who have received serious or moderate harm to their health will receive 400 thousand rubles each.
According to preliminary data, a technical malfunction became the cause of the crash. It was noted that the dead pilots had a lot of experience, and the L-410 was not overloaded and was flying in a normal mode.
