The French footballer Karim Benzema, at Real Madrid since 2009, he is a huge car enthusiast. At 34, and after many millions of euros he earned, he collected one enviable collection of supercars. Unlike other football champions, who keep cars in the garage ‘hidden’ from the general public, Benzema has filmed practically all of them in a video posted on his Youtube channel.
Benzema’s motor history started with a black Mini Cooper S, bought by a friend, and today it can boast the ‘connection’ with various luxury and performance car brands. His passion for cars was born, as in most cases, through playing with toy cars; and his favorite brand from childhood would be Ferrari.
To go to training, according to Benzema, the favorite car is an Audi RS6 Avant. He gets along particularly well with the Germans: he had a BMW M6, and in the garage there are still an Audi RSQ8, a Mercedes G65 AMG and a SLR McLaren. Although they are not mentioned in detail in the video, the Franco-Algerian explains that the perfect cars for the weekend ‘out’, when not playing, are the Ferrari, Lamborghinis and Bugattis. The fact that you are not talking about specific models leads to the hypothesis that in recent years Benzema has had cars from the Cavallino or the Toro, and then sold them along the way.
The Chiron and the Veyron (the Pur Sang) are among his two favorite cars. In particular Benzema is linked to Veyron, and we believe him because in addition to being beautiful and expensive, it is also rare. Should he ever find himself in economic difficulty in the future, or simply want to make some space for new cars, he would raise several million euros by selling this car.
Benzema is also famous for peppered declarations; and in one case it also brought up motor racing. It happened when, in a proposed confrontation with his colleague Olivier Giroud, he said firmly: “We cannot compare a Formula 1 with a kart“.
