Lucasfilm has revealed Lucasfilm Games, an official banner that brings together the universe of all Star Wars games. From incredible single-player experiences like Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order to the inclusion of The Mandalorian in Fortnite, everything will be classified as Lucasfilm. At the moment very little is known about the future of Star Wars games outside of the upcoming LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, which recapitulates the history of the franchise.
This move is similar to the one made by Xbox with Xbox Game Studios or Sony with PlayStation Studios, who created a single name to bring together multiple developers. The point is that now, looking to the future, all Star Wars games will have the new Lucasfilm Games banner. Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order arrived in November on Game Pass, and Star Wars Squadrons will also arrive in the near future thanks to the arrival of EA to Game Pass.

The announcement was on StarWars.com today, the company revealed that Lucasfilm Games would now be the official identity for all Lucasfilm game titles. The name is actually a return to Lucasfilm Games brand, which was developed during the ’80s with games like Maniac Mansion, The Secret of Monkey Island, and more. This name endured in the video game industry until it was renamed LucasArts in 1990.

Which Lucasfilm games are on the way is a bigger question: after Star Wars Squadrons, there aren’t many Star Wars games officially lined up, though LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is on the way, and we know Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.
