After presenting the new laptops and peripherals, Dell also announced two new monitors from the Alienware line: a 27 and a 32 inch OLED.
Dell has invested a lot in its line Alienware, a range of products designed and created for gaming, with high-performance items in every context, from laptops to peripherals. After talking about the new notebooks it is time to take a closer look at the two new monitors presented in Las Vegas during CES 2024.
We are talking about theAlienware 32 4K QD-OLED and of theAlienware 27 360Hz QD-OLEDtwo cutting-edge monitors with innovative technologies, ready to debut on the market, setting the performance bar one step higher.
Alienware 32 4K QD-OLED
The first Alienware monitors with QD-OLED technology officially debuted two years ago, right at CES, and today Dell demonstrates to the world how much progress has been made in this specific area. L'Alienware 32 4K QD-OLED features a curved panel, designed to reduce reflections, with absolute blacks and a brightness up to 1000 nits. The native refresh rate is 240 Hz, a response time of 0.03 ms and Dolby Vision HDR and VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400; all obviously with 4K resolution and 16:9 aspect ratio.
Obviously with this monitor you will be able to enjoy smooth gameplay thanks to NVIDIA G-SYNC and VESA AdaptiveSync, useful not only for PC gaming; thanks to the high bandwidth HDMI 2.1 FRL port it allows you to obtain high performance, up to 120 Hz, even with the latest generation consoles. The Alienware 32 4K QD-OLED will be available starting January 11th with a price starting from 1199.99 dollars.
Alienware 27 360Hz QD-OLED
L'Alienware 27 360Hz QD-OLEDas its name suggests, has a very high refresh rate, 360 Hz, one of the highest seen at the moment for QD-OLED displays, all with a gray-to-gray response time of 0.03 ms. Obviously, certification could not be missing for this screen too VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400, along with AMD FreeSyncPremium Pro and VESA AdaptiveSync technology. The native resolution of this screen is 1440p with a form factor of 16:9 therefore 2560 x 1440. Finally, to provide the best performance at all times, especially with prolonged use, the Alienware 27 360Hz QD-OLED has apertures on the body to allow 360 degree cooling of the internal components.
QD-OLED technology has therefore made important progress so much so as to bring a 3-layer structure of Quantum Dots into Alienware monitors which allow self-emissive blue pixels and a layer of QD nanoparticles on top to create the other colors visible on the screen . Both displays ensure flicker-free video playback, covering the respectively 99% and 99.3% of the DCI-P3 gamut, with a color accuracy Delta E < 2. For those who fear the danger of burn-in, both the Alienware 32 4K QD-OLED and the Alienware 27 360Hz QD-OLED offer a three-year OLED hardware warranty. This latest monitor will be available starting January 11th 899.99 dollars.
