The player from Cartagena, today a member of Goiás, from the second division of Brazilian football, played for the club that was then local in Barrancabermeja in 2019 and the following year he was transferred to Deportivo Cali.
Due to this transfer there is a dispute between Vásquez and Alianza that is being studied by the Dispute Resolution Chamber of the Colombian Football Federation. The footballer claims 8 percent of the transfer to Cali and the vallenato club claims to have the documentation according to which it does not have to pay that money.
However, Alianza now denounces that Vásquez is sending threatening messages to Ferreira and his family. “The threats and audios are already in the possession of the Colombian Football Federation and we will proceed to file complaints with the Attorney General’s Office,” the club announced.

In the statement, Alianza shows some of the phrases that Vásquez, in a threatening tone, would have sent to Ferreira. “”Do what you want to do, you are going to pay me my money by hook or by crook, in three days you are going to pay me (…) and I am going to prove that you are going to pay me,” says the transcript sent by the club.
“That cucho is going to pay me in three days, and he should take this message and send it to the Prosecutor’s Office if he wants or to the Police so that he can say that I am threatening him, so that I can tell him that I am threatening him, but my money will go to me.” will pay in three days”, he adds.
Vásquez had two stages in the then called Alianza Petrolera: in 2016, on loan from Junior de Barranquilla, and in 2019, transferred from Cúcuta Deportivo. According to the Transfermarkt portal, he was sold to Cali in 2020 in exchange for 900 thousand euros.
“Alianza FC is not responsible for making said payment (8 percent of the transfer) to the player, based on sporting regulations and the agreements signed between the parties,” the club said in its statement.
Cali loaned him to Ceará in Brazil for a semester and then, in 2024, they sold him to Medellín, who just transferred him to Goiás.
