There is actually someone on our planet who has decided to change one BMW Z4 in a kind of Alfa Romeo, modifying the front of the car in the bumper area and fitting new rims. If previously this idea seemed to be just a rendering quirk, now it appears that the car has been ‘discovered’ for good.
Journalist Helen Wakerley photographed in the Como area around Villa D’Estein a parking lot, a yellow car with just the aforementioned new proportions. An Alfa Romeo bumper and grille adorn the chassis and rest of the bodywork of a BMW Z4, with typically Alfa rims mounted on all four wheels. The images, which circulate on some specialized sites, show a car identical in all respects to the one seen in the cover photo of this article.
With BMW headlights, but without its typical grille, this Z4 is truly a punch to any enthusiast’s certainties. As often happens, it is enough to modify even a part of the front of a car to make it completely different in the eyes of an outside observer. In this case the change can be seen, and it turns out that the Alfa Romeo trilobo, mixed with the BMW headlights, makes the car look particularly… sad.
In any case, were it not for enthusiasts who know how to recognize the ‘language’ of each brand, the quality of the project seems really good. There seems to be no discontinuity between the original parts of the Bavarian House and the Italian additions. According to Carscoops reports, there are strong doubts that the Alfa-faced BMW has received mechanical modifications, but the dream of a Busso V6 engine under the hood of this car is rightly suggested.
Who knows, this particular combination between Alfa and BMW could inspire the CEO of the Italian house, Jean-Philippe Imparato, towards further special models with which to feed the passion around the brand. If you need imagination, this particular prototype certainly has a lot to sell.
