3.0 185 hp engine, five-speed manual gearbox and rigorous rear-wheel drive, maximum speed at 220 km / h: the only model in Italy of the sedan that marks the landing of the Arese brand in the States in 1986 is available
It is the only model on the market in Italy, a rare model that tells the power of the Biscione brand by paying homage to its city. She is Alfa Romeo Quadrifoglio 75 Milano, with a 3-liter V6 engine from 1986, offered for sale by Ruote da Sogno at a price that tempts collectors, or 43,000 euros. After all, the Alfa Romeo 75 called Alfa Romeo Milano for the North American markets was produced by Alfa Romeo from 1985 until 1993 in the Arese plant.
GREEN FOUR-LEAF CLOVER
Already in 1985, when the new 75 took the place of the Giulietta, the programs included a prestigious Quadrifoglio Verde version, equipped with the 158 HP 2.5-liter V6 injection engine from Alfa Sei Quadrifoglio Oro. On this small sedan, the engine gave great satisfaction and, thanks to the goodness of the chassis, made it a car for true connoisseurs even in spite of a not entirely convincing line. The model was presented to the press on May 17, 1985 to celebrate the 75th anniversary of Alfa Romeo, hence the name, and is considered by many Alfa Romeo enthusiasts to be the last true Alfa Romeo of that period, given that with its replaced, the 155, the Arese company temporarily abandoned rear-wheel drive. After the presentation of the Milan version in 1986, the same machine with the modifications necessary for its export to the USA, the America version also became standard for Europe the following year, limited to the 1.8 turbo and V6 engines. In the meantime, that very last one had seen its displacement increase to the three-liter threshold, gaining about thirty horsepower.
DRIVING ALFA ROMEO
The 1986 Alfa Romeo 75 America model for sale has a history of 10.8116 km driven, and features a red body with a black interior. In this car, the driving qualities of the Alfa Romeos are combined with the elasticity of the 3.0 engine with 185 HP at 5,800 rpm, with an unmistakable voice. The rear-wheel drive sedan features a five-speed manual gearbox, and the declared maximum speed is 220 km / h, with acceleration from 0 to 100 km in 7.3 seconds. All on a car that, if driven slowly with the family, shows more than decent consumption and completely adequate driving comfort.
A classic on the market
The model, which went through a short period of commercial eclipse, with prices dropped to negligible values, is now back in the sights of the most discerning collectors, with decidedly higher costs. For the 1986 Alfa Romeo 75 3000 V6 Milano model, for sale on Ruote da Sogno, the indicated price is 43,000 euros.
