The bill that extinguishes half-price ticket in cultural and sporting events, created by Deputy Arthur do Val (Patriota), was approved this Wednesday night (27), in the Legislative Assembly of the State of São Paulo (Alesp). The law goes to the sanction of Governor Doria.
According to Deputy Arthur do Val (Patriota), known on social networks as Mama Falei, the project meets a request from the sporting and cultural sectors of the state of São Paulo.

The text approved yesterday states that the half-price benefit, which guarantees 50% discount on tickets for students and seniors, is now valid for “to the entire population aged 0 and 99 years”, which can turn the benefit into the standard entry price.
However, as the project does not refer to price maintenance, what should happen is a general increase in the value of tickets, promoting a kind of 50% discount of double the previous value. Thus, the entire population would pay with half price an amount equal to the internal prices practiced before the law.
The bill will be approved by João Doria (PSDB). If sanctioned by the governor, the bill may conflict with federal laws that already guarantee the right.
“My project that ends the half-price ticket in SP was APPROVED. We will end the social distortion that half-price ticket causes and the negative economic impact it generates in the cultural sector.“, declared Deputy Arthur Do Val by Twitter. .
