President Alberto Fernández received this Saturday in Olivos the Secretary of Strategic Affairs of Brazil (SAE), Flavio Viana Rocha, who arrived in the country as an envoy of President Jair Bolsonaro to hold official meetings with officials of the Argentine government, official sources reported.
Also participating in the meeting were the Secretary for Strategic Affairs, Gustavo Béliz; and the respective ambassadors of both countries, Daniel Scioli and Reinaldo José de Almeida Salgado.
The visit of Viana Rocha, during which he held meetings with Béliz himself, with Ministers Martín Guzmán (Economy) and Agustín Rossi (Defense) and with Foreign Minister Felipe Solá, allowed to strengthen the relationship with Brazil, in the “conviction” of both governments to work together, reported from the Executive.
In that sense, last Thursday Viana Rocha was at Casa Rosada, where she met for about two hours with Beliz, Guzmán, Scioli and Salgado.

At the meeting this Saturday at the presidential residence, the Brazilian official gave the Argentine president a Palmeiras shirt, a club of which Bolsonaro is a fan. The white shirt has the 10 on the back and bears the name of the Argentine president.
Scioli had affirmed to the journalists accredited at the Government House that “the meeting between the presidents (Alberto Fernández and Bolsonaro held on November 30 by videoconference) and the specific agenda of each of the ministries it is a message of all this political will to work together and that it turns to the different areas “, and remarked that” the possibility of another meeting between the first leaders is open “.
Then Viana Rocha, Scioli and Salgado had a meeting at the Ministry of Defense with the head of that portfolio, Agustín Rossi; where they advanced in the possible purchase of the VBTP-MR Guaraní, an amphibious armored vehicle manufactured in Iveco Brasil, a company that Rossi visited last November; and there was also agreement on the idea of specifying the creation of a national maritime patrol force, the sources added.
