According to the price list of the well-known retailer EB Games, Alan Wake 2’s Lake House expansion has a release date scheduled for October 22nd, therefore simultaneously with the launch of the physical Deluxe Edition of Remedy Entertainment’s survival horror.
This is a decidedly credible leak, if we consider that the development team has already announced that Lake House will debut later this month: the official confirmation will probably arrive tomorrow evening, during the Xbox Partner Preview.
Speaking of already consolidated information, the second expansion of Alan Wake 2 will see the return of Jesse Faden, the protagonist of Controlwho will find himself visiting the shores of Cauldron Lake in order to investigate a potential catastrophic event recorded by the Federal Bureau of Control’s research station.
However, she will not be the character we will control in Lake House, but rather FBC agent Kiran Estevez, played by Janina Gavankar: another addition to the rich cast of the Remedy Connected Universe.
A worthy conclusion?
The two expansions of Alan Wake 2 introduced new stories, characters and settings to the basic experience, aiming to enrich the lore also in view of a possible third chapter of the saga.
Returning to the revelation of the release date of Lake House, on Alan Wake 2 Deluxe Edition page visible on the EB Games website it is written that “due to the international release of the Deluxe Edition of Alan Wake 2, the Lake House expansion disc DLC will not unlock until 00.00 on October 22nd.”
