Alan Wake 2 will receive big news today, June 8, with the arrival of the Night Springs expansion, the first planned for the Remedy title, and also a free update for all owners of the game, which among other things introduces the Photo Mode.
The first point is obviously the main one: announced during the Summer Game Fest, the Night Springs expansion introduces three new stories with different protagonists that are based on the TV show that is an integral part of the Alan Wake universe.
In addition to this, however, there will also be news for the base game, in the form of an update of not enormous dimensions but still significant, focused above all on a specific addition.
News day for Alan Wake 2
What is introduced today with the free update of Alan Wake 2 is therefore the photography mode, which was actually missing in the original version of the game.
This will be available to everyone after executing the update, which is automatic for owners of the Remedy title at startup, as soon as the patch is made available in these hours.
Alan Wake 2’s photo mode allows for a free and complete control of the shotwith the possibility of moving the virtual “camera”, selecting various presets or customizing lighting and effects in a rather profound way, with the possibility of introducing filters, frames, modifying the position and characteristics of the characters and even possibly removing them from the frame , for a rather complete control of the staging.
The Night Springs expansion will therefore also arrive today with its three additional stories linked to the TV series, while during the night the physical editions of Alan Wake 2 were also announced, which will arrive on consoles this autumn.
