The Dubai Police General Command, in cooperation with the Ministry of Interior and local and national partners, organized the second forum to secure “Expo 2020” for liaison officers in the country, in the Trade Center Hall at the World Expo site, with the aim of presenting insurance plans, scenarios and the readiness of teams and committees for the major international event.
The forum was attended by the Assistant Commander-in-Chief for Operations Affairs Major General Eng. Counselor Muhammad Saif Al-Zafin, the Assistant Commander-in-Chief for Criminal Investigation Affairs Major General Khalil Ibrahim Al-Mansoori, the Assistant Commander-in-Chief for Community Happiness and Logistic Support Affairs Major General Abdullah Hussein Ahli, the CEO of Expo 2020 Security Ali Khalifa Al Ghais, and the Director of the Department General for Excellence and Leadership, Brigadier General Sheikh Mohammed Abdullah Al Mualla, a number of strategic partners of the Dubai Police, a representative from the Gulf Police Organization, the Ministry of Interior, and 36 liaison officers from various countries.
During the opening of the forum, Al Zaffin stressed that Dubai Police is keen to develop its security system on an ongoing basis with the aim of securing the Expo to the fullest and with high professionalism according to modern and advanced technologies, explaining that the various authorities at the local and federal levels are fully prepared to secure the Expo event and 100% preparedness plans.
He explained that the various authorities at the local and federal levels made double efforts and at an accelerated pace, and raised the level of performance and excellence in various fields, in addition to the optimal use of modern systems and technologies and the link between security programs to achieve the aspirations of the senior leadership in producing the international event in a manner befitting Dubai’s global standing.
The Deputy Director of the General Department for Excellence and Leadership, Chairman of the Governance Committee to secure the Expo 2020 event, Brigadier Dr. Saleh Al-Hamrani, reviewed the organizational structure of the Security Council to prepare for hosting the Expo 2020, and the various participating parties reviewed their security plan, coordination mechanism, criminal linkage, delegation management and reception mechanism, and others.
The head of the International Liaison Committee for the Expo event, Colonel Tariq Hilal Al-Suwaidi, said that the organization of the forum stems from the Dubai Police’s keenness to implement the best international policing practices in hosting the event, pointing to the economic, tourism and cultural importance of this international event, which constitutes a forum for civilizations, cultures and knowledge exchange, stressing the ability of The UAE in general, and Dubai in particular, host such international events.
He added that the various authorities worked to harness all capabilities, technologies and artificial intelligence to host Expo 2020, noting that the Dubai Police General Command put this global event on the top of its priorities, and harnessed all its capabilities and smart and technical systems to provide the necessary support in everything related to the security and service fields, and to follow-up All work teams and their relationship with all security institutions in the country, with the aim of providing smart services of high quality to all visitors, organizers and participating delegations, in order to be the best ambassadors for the state of tolerance.
