Ayman al-Zawahiri, the chief of the world’s most feared terrorist organization Al Qaeda, has died in Afghanistan. Arab News has claimed this by quoting sources. According to the report, he died of natural causes. Zawahiri was last seen in a video released on the anniversary of the 9/11 attack in Issa. However, Arab News has not confirmed Zawahiri’s death. Arab News quoted a translator as claiming that Zawahiri died in Ghazni last week. It states that Zawahiri died of asthma as he could not get treatment. The report also claimed the same by quoting a security officer from Pakistan. The officer has said that he believes that Zawahiri is no longer alive. Arab News has quoted security sources in Pakistan and Afghanistan claiming Zawahiri to be dead. The report said that if Zawahiri dies, there may be a fight for leadership in the organization. In fact, earlier sons Hajma bin Laden and powerful al-Qaeda leader Abu Mohammed Al Masri have died.
