Al Wahda Football Academy has witnessed great numbers, in the number of registered buds, since the resumption of the activity of this age group last August, so that the football schools registered 410 players from the buds within four months, in a positive phenomenon, especially since this heavy turnout is from the residents of the capital Abu Dhabi only. .
Abdul Basit Al Hammadi, a member of the Board of Directors of Al Wahda Football Company and the supervisor of the Football Academy, confirmed that the turnout comes for many reasons, which came as a translation of the great interest of the club’s management in the academy, and in all age groups from the bud stage to the older groups.
He said: Al-Wahda Academy’s role is not limited to refining football talents only, but extends to many social, cultural and educational aspects, in addition to the athlete, and the applied programs are unique and distinct, compared to what exists in the region, and there is continuous communication with parents who receive permanent reports on Their children, and this makes the role complementary between the family and the academy, and we also follow the academic level of the player, along with other cultural programs offered to the academy’s employees, in addition to the fact that the health conditions associated with the “Corona pandemic” contributed to the great turnout, which in turn reflects on the health of the young, and instills in them love And exercise, to be a “lifestyle,” and keep them away from some diseases of the age, such as addiction to electronic devices.
For his part, Yasser Al-Ghazali, Technical Director of the Football Schools, said: “Corona” and the disruption of activity for a long time, made there a passion and enthusiasm for parents to enroll their children in the academy’s football schools, which provided a healthy environment for creativity, and the information provided on programs and the quality of work refined and developed talents, except Continuity is required to create stars in the game, especially if we look at the large number of talents among the buds in the football schools.
He added: For example, during the current school holiday, we organized a one-week camp, as well as trips to the most important historical and archaeological monuments in Abu Dhabi, to enrich the children’s information about the state and the capital and introduce them to history. Abdullah Al-Saadi, one of the parents, believes that he took the decision to enroll his two sons Nasser and Mansour in football schools at Al-Wahda Academy, for several considerations, the most important of which is that sport represents health for the body and mind, and his choice of “Al Annabi” in particular, because it is one of the leading clubs in establishing players, and he said: Through experience I feel the correctness of my decision, as this is reflected on the children in many aspects, as they like to adhere to and persevere in training, and the quality of the trainers in the academy and the programs applied plays an important role in that, and indeed the experience changed their lives for the better, and we thank the club and the academy for the great efforts that are working to serve society in all its sectors.
Nasser and Mansour Al-Saadi thanked their parents for giving them the opportunity that greatly affected their lives, changed it for the better, and gave them a passion and love for sports, and football in particular, as well as gaining new friends and learning the basics of the game correctly.
Hamad Saeed Al Ketbi, one of the parents of the football school players in Al Wahda, also spoke, saying: The change made by the Academy in the children’s routine after the “pandemic” is radical and clear, and is represented in changing habits for the better, specifically healthy eating, high sportsmanship, and enthusiasm in training.
