Al-Ahly’s goals were scored by Mohamed Sharif (2 and 34) and Mustafa Karshoum (76), while the Nigerian Tony Edumarigui (43) and Al-Samani Al-Sawy (69) scored the goals of Al-Merreikh.
With this victory, Al-Ahly raised its score to 4 points, advancing it to second place, with a difference of direct directives with Al-Marikh third with the same balance.
Al-Ahly will meet in the fourth round with the South African leader, Mamelodi Sundowns, with 7 points, next Saturday in Johannesburg, while Al-Hilal, bottom of the standings with one point, will meet Al-Marikh, next Friday in Khartoum.
