Aitana and Sebastián Yatra release a new song together. This was announced by both through their social networks with a video in which they are sitting on a sofa in a recording studio. While the Colombian sings some chords on the guitar, the Catalan woman appears on his thoughtful side. The work, called Akureyri, will be released next Friday, April 26, as announced by the couple in the publication, which accumulates hundreds of thousands of likes and comments showing surprise at the new collaboration.
Four days ago, Aitana announced on her Instagram account that her new song would be released on Friday, although there was no trace of collaboration with Yatra. “I have decided to return where I was very happy,” she wrote along with a video that showed her trip to Akureyri, in Iceland, and about which she said some nice words. «Although it may sound strange, in 2015 Iceland remained in my memories as the place where I enjoyed and learned the most with my family. I knew I would come back, and I feel like I will come back more, it's nice to turn 24 here. It's strange but, I feel very connected to this place. Without a doubt, this 2023 is tattooed on my heart as a year of changes. I have so much left to learn, so much to go through, heal, celebrate, fight, enjoy… Sometimes life is not as easy as one imagines as a child, but I have been very lucky. How nice it is to feel all the emotions and thus know that we are alive. “I am grateful that mine are healthy, in the end that is the most important thing, and thus we can enjoy a lifetime together.”
Yatra commented on Aitana's heartfelt publication: “That song,” along with a heart. Which already denoted that he knew something more about the young woman's new job. In fact, the Colombian was the singer's traveling companion to Iceland, where they celebrated her 'triumphant' birthday in June.
It is not the first time that Aitana and Yatra collaborate. The first time was in January 2020, with the song 'Corazón sin vida' that is part of the album 'Las doubts', by the Catalan. Two years later, in 2022 they released 'Las doubts', which belonged to the Colombian's album 'Dharma'.
The announcement comes after photographs were published in which they appeared walking hand in hand through the streets of Madrid and which sparked rumors about their reconciliation after five months apart.
