Airplanes | US spotted Russian military aircraft near Alaskan airspace

The Russian planes remained in international airspace and did not deviate into the airspace of the United States or Canada.

United States spotted four Russian military aircraft in Alaska's so-called Air Defense Identification Zone (ADIZ) on Tuesday. The North American Air Defense Command Center, or Norad, reported the observations in the message service X.

According to Norad, the Russian planes remained in international airspace and did not deviate into the airspace of both the United States and Canada.

The shortest sea route from the state of Alaska to Russia is only about 80 kilometers. According to Norad, Russian planes are detected in the detection zone of Alaska “regularly”.
