The company’s CEO, Mark Hiller, said in an interview at the Singapoure Airshow event that the seat will, in effect, become an enclosed cabin. “The challenge is really designing something that gives you privacy but doesn’t create a claustrophobic feel,” he said.
The executive also said that the company, which is a supplier to Emirates, Air-Frace-KLM and Cebu Pacific, has already received orders for the new seats, which cost €100,000 each. He also stressed that the standard of comfort and entertainment between economy and business classes tends to increase.
