Magdalena Rocha Peña, head of the Women’s Secretariat in Ahome, stated that from her trench she embraces the purpose of One Billion Standing, which is “to let all women who live with violence know that they are not alone, that women who have lived under this situation raise your voice, and that authorities around the world give priority to issues related to preventing, punishing and eradicating violence against women”.
