ALTOS HORNOS DE Mexico, Compañía Minera del Norte and Compañía Minera Real del Monte y Pachuca, hired the professional services of Galaz, Yamasaki, Ruiz Urquiza on October 26, 2018.
We are talking about the firm that is part of the international firm of public accountants Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Limited, to be the external auditors of Alonso Ancira’s companies.
For several years, the firm globally chaired by Punit Renjen
performed its function by issuing the financial statements of the companies and presenting them to the corresponding authorities.
But due to the criminal proceedings that Ancira Elizondo faces, it turns out that Deloitte de México retracted, ignoring even now the financial statements that it had signed and authorized.
In addition to charging large sums for the service, the problem for the firm that Francisco Pérez Cisneros commands here was that he made this demarcation public, causing damage to said companies.
For this reason, AHMSA and Minosa sued before the 70th Civil Court of the CdMx the declaration and judicial recognition of breach of the professional services contract dated October 26, 2018.
Likewise, the rescission of that same contract and that it be ordered to pay damages, as well as non-pecuniary damage to the main company in the Monclova, Coahuila area.
Ancira also requires the declaration and judicial recognition of the validity of the consolidated financial statements of AHMSA and other companies that are part of the group ruled by Deloitte.
Also the court order to refrain from continuing to use, publish and disseminate information, or express opinions or comments related to the actors and subsidiaries.
Likewise, the payment of punitive damages and the payment of expenses and costs for failing to comply with the contract and violating the code of ethics of the Association of Public Accountants.
As far as is currently known, the trial is already in the stage of presenting evidence.
IT HAPPENED A FEW DAYS AGO. Andrés Manuel López Obrador summoned Mauricio and Luis Amodío to the National Palace. The head of government, Claudia Sheinbaum, and people from the Secretaries of the Interior and of Communications and Transport were also at the meeting. The President told them, words more words less, that they had already been paid a lot, that they had been given what they asked for and they did not understand. He then announced the rescission of the contract that the then head of government of CdMx, Miguel Angel Mancera, assigned them for about 10 billion pesos for the construction of the third stage of the Mexico-Toluca Train. López Obrador made it clear that he did not want challenges or payment claims. The head of the SAT, Raquel Buenrostro, and the head of the Financial Intelligence Unit, Pablo Gómez, were also summoned to the meeting.
AND IF WE ARE TALKING ABOUT contract terminations, here goes another one: the Secretary of Tourism, Miguel Torruco, is going to terminate the agreement that he made with Marcos Achar at the beginning of this six-year term so that he would take charge of the search engine and tourist promotion Visit Mexico. It seems that inside the federal government they are not satisfied with the achievements of the Braintivity company, which Torruco himself pushed with everything to take over the administration of the main promotion platform for Mexico and the states of the Mexican Republic. The point is that the demarcation will not be very easy because Achar invested several million pesos in its modernization and commercial agreements with third parties. The case is already in the hands of lawyers.
MORNING BOARD OF DIRECTORS in Altán Redes. The appointments of Anthony McCarthy as the new president and Carlos Lerma as the new general director will be made official, positions that Bernardo Sepúlveda and Salvador Álvarez hold, respectively, to date. Key pieces of management also come out with them. Point to Rafael Lira, Vice President of Finance; the general attorney, Yago Bazaco, and the director of Operations, Carlos Sánchez. The challenge for the government of Andrés Manuel López Obrador will be to build a new management capable of repositioning a specialized and highly sophisticated company.
