Defense Minister Agustín Rossi affirmed this Thursday that the Executive had not warned him that if he was a candidate he should resign from his post and assured that he found out on television, during an interview with President Alberto Fernández.
“My resignation is available. The President will say when I have to make it effective. I spoke with the Chief of Staff (Santiago Cafiero) and he told me that we hope the President returns,” he emphasized in statements to El Uncover radio.
Last night, Rossi indicated that he will be presented as a candidate for senator of the Frente de Todos for the province of Santa Fe in the PASO of September 12 and that he will move away from the national portfolio that he currently leads.
“I will have absolute freedom to give the political debate that Santa Fe needs. The President has just said that all the candidates will have to leave our function, a decision that shows the deep ethical sense of the President,” Rossi said last night in statements to the signal Todo News (TN).
