The meeting comes after the end of the mission of the committee in charge of running the club headed by Hussein Labib, on Sunday, which opened the door for Mansour’s return.
On October 24, a court ruling was issued to cancel the decision of the Minister of Sports to exclude Mansour from the presidency of the Zamalek club.
The source, who preferred not to be named, indicated that the ministry “will explain in the coming hours all the details about Mansour’s return, and the possible date for the Zamalek elections.”
Sobhi had confirmed in previous media statements that there was no intention to postpone and cancel the club’s elections.
The source stressed that “there is one direction in which everyone moves, is to maintain the stability of a great Egyptian sports castle, such as Zamalek Club.”
And the committee in charge of managing Zamalek left, on Sunday, explaining in an official statement that it “has been honored with the task entrusted to it, and has done its best to serve the club and all its sports teams.”
With the departure of the Labib committee, the club was scheduled to be managed by CEO Hussein Al-Samri, director of sports activity Atef Al-Nimr, and financial director Tariq Jibril, according to the indicative list, but the three announced their resignations from their positions, on Sunday.
