The wonderful news from his colleagues: Jack, the hero dog who was poisoned while on a walk, is better
Finally great news. Jack, the mountain rescue and speleological dog of Friuli Venezia Giulia, is out of danger.
The puppy, trained in search and rescue of human lives, was poisoned during a walk in Chialina di Ovaro, in the province of Udine. He ate one meatball with snail killer.
After the many prayers of his human friend, his colleagues and the many users who took his situation to heart, the news arrived that made everyone smile. Jack the dog is much better and the doctors have it extubated. He managed to go to the bathroom and went back to eat. The news appeared right on the official Facebook page of the Alpine and Speleological Rescue Friuli Venezia Giulia – CNSAS.
The Mountain Rescue update on Jack’s condition
Jack is better! He was extubated, ate and urinated. The worst seems to be over. Thanks to the professionalism of the veterinary doctors at San Marco Veterinary Clinic in Veggiano (PD) and the timing of his owner, a very critical phase for our rescue dog has been overcome. Now we have to wait another night for the subsequent evaluations, to be sure that there has been no neurological damage. In theory, Jack could be discharged tomorrow afternoon to return to the affection of his loved ones! We are all with Jack and his master ❤ ❤ ❤.
Jack and human dad and colleague Daniele are a key team for mountain rescue. In his years of work, the puppy has helped find and save life of so many missing people.
His team, in the long post, also wanted to capture the attention of all the owners of a four-legged friend, asking them to always pay a lot attention during walks.
The puppy ingested poisonous baits, disguised as delicious treats and from that moment it has been a race against time. He arrived at the veterinary clinic in very serious conditions. Fortunately she is better today, but things could have been different.
