After 23 years, retired Antonio Carlos Pereira was reunited with his 1978 Caravan. The car was stolen in 1998 at the door of his house in Ribeirão Preto (SP) and he didn’t even expect to see the family’s darling again.
Located in the Federal District (DF), the Caravan has always been very significant for the family that spent years looking for the car. The vehicle was special for the family because it helped Pereira and his wife transport vegetables and fruit to sell. Before the last robbery, the Caravan had already been taken once, but it was recovered in Jardinópolis (SP).

In an interview with EPTV, Pereira said that the car was a doll for him. “All plastic inside, all leather, reclining seats. The car was a marvel. Everything tidy, there was no problem at all”, says the owner of the vehicle.
The vehicle was located after the Civil Police identified a strange movement in the Federal District. A buyer tried to transfer the car to his name, but some evidence of tampering was found during an inspection. The family is organizing a trip to retrieve the car.
