In the midst of his bid to diversify his imports of energy supplies and wean himself from Russia, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz arrived in Africa to visit Senegal, Nigeria and finally South Africa. A trip whose objective was also to gather diplomatic support for Ukraine, but the South African president reaffirmed the neutral position that he has assumed since the beginning of the conflict and said that the best path to a solution and the cessation of hostilities would be dialogue.
